Deacon completed the 2,700-sf Dave’s Hot Chicken restaurant at The Village at Tacoma Mall, constructing a new one-story commercial restaurant space within the shopping center and delivering the project through final build-out. Scope included underground utilities, full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, commercial kitchen installation, patio seating, and polished concrete and epoxy flooring. Standout features include diamond plate accents, red neon elements, exterior lighting and signage, and custom interior and exterior graffiti artwork by Splatterhouse, a California-based artist. The project was delivered under a separate contract from Deacon’s concurrent 26,000-sf shell-and-core retail development at The Village.
