The Kirkland Shelter project was a joint project amongst Catholic Community Services, The New Bethlehem Project, and The Sophia Way. The shelter is the only permanent facility on the Eastside to support the homeless population and vulnerable communities. The 19,000 sf shelter features a two-level, 100-bed 24/7 emergency shelter and day center with the first floor dedicated to families and the second floor dedicated to women. The Kirkland Place for Families and Women will be able to house and help more people in need. This exciting project featured multiple funding sources and our preconstruction team worked actively with sponsors, facilities managers and service providers to achieve a building to meet their expectations and budget and funding program requirements.
