This locally-owned, neighborhood gourmet grocery store was built on a very tight site with a zero lot line on two sides of the building. The store's exterior uses a warm combination of masonry, IPE wood, metal siding with an angled front canopy supporting a green roof. The interior was built to meet the unique standards and designs of the owner, with specialty facade treatments and produce-featuring lighting.
One significant challenge created by the tight site conditions was the need for close coordination with the twelve adjacent houses and businesses, as well as working with ODOT and PBOT.
