This former 50-acre Boeing industrial site was transformed into one of Puget Sound’s largest mixed-use lifestyle centers. With 728,000 sf spread throughout 27 buildings — each uniquely styled to give the feel of a friendly village — The Landing integrates entertainment, fitness, dining, parking, retail and housing elements.

The four-story parking garage with two elevators encloses 731 spaces in a post-tensioned concrete structure. Regal Cinemas 14-screen theater combines exterior features such as steel mesh cladding and metallic facade banding to blend with the overall site design theme which includes a two-story bronzed fire place outside the theater’s entrance.

Overall, the project was seen as a positive turning point for the surrounding community and welcomed by municipal and county groups. The schedule was designed to be built in four overlapping phases. Completed phases were fully operational during the work of each successive phase. Adding to the anticipation of customers watching was the rollout of additional amenities, including lush tree-lined streets, fountains and public gathering plazas.
