Capitol Towers Named Best Urban Multifamily Project of the Year
We are excited to share that our Capitol Towers project has been awarded the title of Best Urban Multifamily Project of the Year! This great honor was received by the Deacon team at the Sacramento Business Journal's Best Real Estate Projects of the Year event.
The Capitol Towers – Sacramento Commons project is a groundbreaking urban Multifamily & Mixed-Use development nestled in the heart of Downtown Sacramento, California. Owned by Weidner Apartment Homes, the property comprises 436 residential units and 530 spacious resident parking spaces, all situated on a 3.8-acre lot. The residential community composes two mirrored 7-story mixed-use buildings with retail space and live/work units on the ground floor and market rate apartments accenting the residential units on the remaining floors. Each building hosts five stories of wood-framed rental apartments, two stories of concrete-construction parking, and one level of subterranean parking.
The scope of construction totals a massive 679,420 sf – 5,990 sf of which is dedicated to the retail space, 307,000 sf for the apartments, and 215,770 sf for parking. The average square footage of each new floor is approximately 85,000 sf.
Capitol Towers’ prime location in the lively center of Sacramento provides a convenient proximity to the Downtown Commons with access to various restaurants, shops, entertainment destinations, and numerous other locally-loved hot spots.
