Advancing Ardea at Totem Lake
Since mobilizing on February 22nd, Deacon Construction’s Seattle General Construction team has been steadily pushing forward on our latest affordable senior housing development, the much-anticipated Ardea at Totem Lake. The project is to be located in Kirkland, WA, and will comprise 170 units—both one-bedroom and studios—ranging from 360 to 760 sf of comfortable living space for the building’s residents throughout 137,034 sf of new construction designed by Wattenbarger Architects. Additionally, the complex, owned by TWG Development, LLC, will host one level of underground parking with 37 stalls, building staff offices, interior and exterior community spaces, as well as various other tenant amenities.
The building is intended to house senior occupants who earn from 40% to 60% of AMI (Area Median Income) and will have 45 units for veterans. Wheelchair accessibility and proximity to walking paths will support residents with easily navigable routes inside and outside the building—located on the corner of Northeast 128th Street.
The Ardea at Totem Lake project is backed by generous organizations devoted to providing secure and affordable housing for those in need, including Amazon’s Housing Equity Fund and Imagine Housing.
